Halloween Choose Your Own Adventure® Prizes

Maven Lacey KayeWe did it! We put together a story that will blow your mind. Or maybe turn it into zombie mush. Either way, it's something to share with your friends, right?

I truly loved the end -- I was standing beside Tessa Dare for the ovation! The whole thing came together, if not perfectly, absolutely hilariously.

(No idea what's going on? Read the story).

The prizes aside, let's give a round of applause to each and every one of you who voted. And then, because that was plenty long enough to forget about prizes, let's give an extra woo-hoo for our random prize winners!

The following books will be distributed in a first-response, first-choice fashion. Email the Manuscript Mavens [mavens (at) manuscriptmavens.com] with your snail mail address to claim your prize (we will ship it to you).

I stand by my original vote - it's long, convoluted, and priceless, much like the story!

Yay for Vicki!! (Couldn't happen to a nicer person!)

I'll go with Christine's selection. ;-)

While the long, convoluted title is fun, I'm really liking A Ghost is Aghast.

While I really love the long title, I think Ann put it in the perfect place -- the story. I vote for Novella of the Living Dead.

I love the "The Cotswold Curse" one. It's hysterical.

Great job, ladies...this has been hysterical and very memorable! Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done!

I love Bill's title too... but I have to go with While You Were Eating. That cracked me up.

This was sooo much fun! Dare I say, we'll do it again? Count on it!

I lurve, lurve Bill's extra-long title, but I lurve the way Ann worked it into the final installment. So, I'm voting for Much Ado About Zombies!

Thank you everyone - guest authors and voters - for making this so great!

I really love all of these titles, but I think this one really fits the story--

The Cotswold Curse: Being the True Story of the Late Mysterious Happenings in Rural Oxfordshire, Together With the Perilous Adventures of Miss Mary Goodweather and her Pesky Virginhood

I have to agree with Lacey and Darcy and Vicki that the way Ann worked the extra-long title into the story was priceless - and flattered me almost to death!

It seems to me that Ann's ingenious usage works even better if we keep the extra-long title for the whole thing. The sudden flash of recognition, and all that.

Sort of like a Chaucerian frame tale, where suddenly the tale and the teller intermingle.

Just saying, is all...

Rural Oxfordshire, Together With the Perilous Adventures of Miss Mary Goodweather and her Pesky Virginhood sounds about right to me. LoL
